Class of 2011

Daisey Blom will study ocean and coastal law at the University of Maine School of Law in Portland, Maine. 

Fritsl Butler is taking anatomy at UTC with the goal of applying to physician's assistant programs next year, and in the meantime will teach Spanish, coach soccer and work in the dorms at St. Andrew's Sewanee. 

Caroline Carlin will be teaching and coaching at Girls' Preparatory School in Chattanooga. 

Alex Coe is a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

David Combswill be working with the Fire Department in Nashville. 

Emily Detmer has a blog posted at "" which documents her experience teaching in the Stanley British Primary School Intern Program in Colorado while working on her Master's in Educational Psychology. 

Emily Ey has a historical preservation internship in New Orleans with Rachel Robinson. 

Sally Haar is employed by the Tennessee Department of Economic Development in Nashville. 

Jeffrey Laffond is interning with Navigators Global, LLC which is a full-service issues management, government relations and strategic communications firm in Washington D.C. 

Mary Matthews was awarded Sewanee's Linda Wheat grant and will pursue a Master's degree in Governance of Organizations for International Development through the Economics department at the Université de Pierre Mendès in Grenoble, France. 

Alexandra May is attending Boston University's School of Public Health for a Master's in International Health. 

Karimeh Moukaddem is interning with (rainforest advocacy), attending Middlebury's Portuguese Language School, interning with the State Department's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, and will be on a Fulbright grant to the Brazilian Amazon next spring. 

Whitney Myers will teach special education in New York City while earning her master's degree as a member of the NYC Fellows. 

Morgan Ann O'Donnell completed a two-month internship with the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, and is now working as a field Sales Administrator for Cisco Systems. 

Frannie Parkinson will work at A Bar A Ranch in Wyoming this summer and will teach English in Central or South America for the Peace Corps in the fall.

Berkeley Robins is pursuing a Master's Degree in the Speech Communication Disorders program at the University of Virginia at Charlottesville.

Amber Singleton has a Fulbright teaching assistantship in Papua New Guinea. 

Hayley Summs has in internship with the Maryland Public Defender's Office.
