Art, Architecture, and Politics in Yugoslavia

A panel entitled, "Reflections on the Concrete Utopia: Art, Architecture, and the Politics of Memory in Socialist Yugoslavia" will address art, architecture, and the politics of memory in Socialist-era Yugoslavia (1945-91), as well as its aftermath, and will comment on recent exhibits such as MoMA’s Toward a Concrete Utopia and The Fabrics of Socialism in Sewanee. It takes place in Gailor Auditorium on Tuesday, December 11 at noon.

Fourth annual International Karaoke Night!

The fourth annual International Karaoke Night on Nov. 8 was a raucous event with international food, great music, and prizes! Students sang in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Russian, and Spanish. The three judges - Hiydees Feliciano-Torres, C'20, community member Linda Heck, and Jenna Whitehead, C'20 - chose the winners based on such factors as voice quality, audience response, and complexity of the song.
